Alexander Landon Egan
VICE PRESIDENT
A native Rhode Islander, Alexander attended Moses Brown School in Providence, graduated magna cum laude from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY, where he was named a member of the All Academic Varsity Swimming/Diving and Crew Team. He graduated magna cum laude from URI with a Masters in Political Science and a concentration in Environmental Policy.
His extensive background of public service has included policy and advance positions for over a year at a time each in the offices of a Mayor, Governor, US Senator and Presidential Candidate. Volunteer work has included two years as a First Responder/EMT for a Community Ambulance Corps, carpentry work with Habitat for Humanities and non-profit advising for over a dozen organizations including: Aquidneck Land Trust, International Yacht Restoration School/Museum of Yachting, and the RI Historical Society. In his spare time Alex enjoys triathlons, stone/wood sculpture, crewing on sailboats with his 100-Ton US Coast Guard Captain's License, or racing on One-Designs, 12-Metres and his personally refitted Ranger.
Alexander decided to join SAIL TO PREVAIL in a merging of his planning, non-profit, and sailing background.
